[Saba Sports News] Dillon Brooks, now a forward for the Houston Rockets, has expressed dissatisfaction with his former team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
Brooks, who played for the Grizzlies for six seasons, was not offered a new contract after his previous one expired. He feels that the Grizzlies used him as a scapegoat, especially after their playoff defeat to the Lakers. Brooks was known for his tenacious defense and often guarded the opposing team’s top player.
However, his outspoken nature sometimes caused issues, notably when he criticized LeBron James but couldn’t deliver in the playoffs. This behavior contributed to the Grizzlies’ decision to part ways with him.
Brooks has since joined the Rockets, where he’s had a strong start, averaging 13.7 points with a 55.1% field goal percentage in the first nine games.
