[Saba Sports News] Recently, the current head coach of the Argentina
national team, Lionel Scaloni, appeared on a talk show where he discussed some
personal health issues. Scaloni revealed that he has been dealing with an
illness throughout this year. When asked about the nature of the illness, he
mentioned that he has been suffering from a recurrent case of herpes zoster,
also known as shingles, on his stomach. He expressed his discomfort and
frustration with the condition, as it keeps recurring even after being treated.
Doctors have suggested that this could be due to a lack of exercise or high
levels of stress leading to a weakened immune system.
It is worth noting that Scaloni has plans to step down as the national team
coach, but the decision is not related to his health issues. Instead, there
have been conflicts between him and the Argentine Football Association (AFA).
Some media speculations suggest that the AFA might owe Scaloni’s team unpaid
bonuses, while there are also rumors of disagreements between Scaloni and the
association over their actions.
In my opinion, given Scaloni’s reputation as a World Cup-winning coach, it
wouldn’t be difficult for him to secure a coaching position at a major club in
one of the top five leagues. In fact, he could potentially earn a higher salary
in such a role. Scaloni’s decision to step back could be a positive move for
his personal development and career, considering the circumstances.
