[Saba Sports News] The highly anticipated European
Championship will be held next year. Recently, there have been media reports that
the football technology used in the European Championship will be the same as
the one used in last year’s World Cup in Qatar, which includes the integration
of high-frequency precision sensors. These high-frequency precision sensors can
send football data to the video operation room at a rate of 500 times per
second, enabling extremely accurate detection of the point of contact with the
ball. This technology can provide rapid automatic offside alerts for video
assistant referees. Once the offside is confirmed by the video assistant
referee and the on-field referee, the system will generate a 3D animation,
displaying the offside situation on the stadium’s big screen from the best
angle.
