[Saba Sports News] In the Premier League match between
Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace in May, a Crystal Palace fan named Robert
Garland, 44 years old, made racially discriminatory gestures and actions
towards Heung-min Son. The incident has seen recent developments. Following a
police investigation, Garland confessed to the act of racial discrimination. As
a consequence, he has been banned from entering any stadiums for three years,
fined £1,384, and mandated to carry out 60 hours of unpaid community work. The
Premier League has made it clear that it has zero tolerance for racial
discrimination and will continue to collaborate with law enforcement to combat
all forms of racial discrimination.
