[Saba Sports News] It has been almost three years since the introduction of Stephen Curry’s Curry Brand, a collaboration between the Golden State Warriors’ star and Under Armour.
This venture has recently achieved a significant milestone by signing its inaugural NBA player.
De’Aaron Fox, the standout player for the Sacramento Kings, has become the first NBA athlete to join forces with Curry Brand. As part of this partnership, Fox is set to launch his own line of signature shoes in 2024, as reported by Na’Andre Emerson of Sports Business Journal.
For the initial five seasons of his NBA career, Fox had an endorsement agreement with Nike. However, he started sporting sneakers from Curry’s signature line last year. In the Sacramento Kings’ season opener against the Utah Jazz, Fox was seen wearing the Curry 2 Low FloTro, a re-released model from Curry’s previous sneaker line.
Fox, who is 25 years old, had an impressive season, averaging 25.0 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game across 73 games last year. This performance earned him his first All-Star selection in his career.
In March, Curry and Under Armour announced a long-term extension of their partnership, with Curry taking on the role of president at Curry Brand as part of the renewed agreement.
