[Saba Sports News] The incident between Kyle Walker and Neal
Maupay during the Manchester City versus Brentford match in the 23rd round of
the Premier League has gained attention. During the match, a verbal altercation
took place between Kyle Walker and Neal Maupay. Walker was subjected to mocking
from Brentford fans due to his personal life, which had been previously
revealed by British media. Reports had surfaced about Walker having a child
with his affair partner, leading to the matter becoming public knowledge.
Following the game, a lip-reading expert analyzed the conversation between
Walker, Maupay, referee Gillett, and fourth official Stuart Attwell. According
to their analysis, Walker approached Attwell and said, “I’m going to knock
Mo Pai over.” Attwell responded by telling Walker to be quiet. Walker,
still visibly upset, gestured towards the tunnel and stated, “You’ll be
waiting there after the game.” He then approached referee Gillett and
claimed, “He just said something about my child. He said something about
my child, more than once… twice!” Maupay stepped forward and denied
Walker’s accusation, stating, “Walker lied. This is so unfair. I can
assure you now that I didn’t say that.”
