Sports News] According to recent reports from British media, Chelsea are
unlikely to change their coach, Mauricio Pochettino, this season. This decision
is reportedly driven by the potential risk of breaching Premier League spending
rules if they were to sack him. The main consideration behind Chelsea’s
reluctance to replace Mauricio Pochettino as coach this season is said to be
their precarious financial situation. Reports suggest that sacking Pochettino
and his coaching staff would result in a loss of over £10 million for the club.
Earlier estimates by financial experts indicated that Chelsea would need to
generate tens of millions of euros through player sales before the end of June
to avoid potential violations of the spending rules. Since the takeover by Todd
Boehly, Chelsea has already dismissed two coaches, Thomas Tuchel and Graham
Potter, incurring expenses of £10 million and £13 million, respectively. The
cost of dismissing coaches alone has put a significant dent in Chelsea’s
finances.
