[Saba Sports News] The Haas F1 team has faced poor performance in
recent seasons, consistently ranking at the bottom of the standings.
Consequently, several media outlets have speculated about the potential sale of
the team by its owner, Gene Haas. However, Gene Haas recently responded to
these rumors, affirming that he has no intention of selling his F1 team. In
recent years, Formula 1 has experienced significant growth since its operations
were taken over by US company Liberty Media from former president Bernie
Ecclestone in early 2017. This growth has led to increased valuations for teams
like Haas Racing, which is now valued at $1 billion or more. Despite investing
millions of dollars into the team since its entry into F1 as a private team in
2016, Gene Haas has achieved limited success in terms of results. Following the
dismissal of team boss Guenther Steiner, some investors suggested that Gene
Haas sell the team to Michael Andretti, an American with experience in running
teams. However, Gene Haas rejected this proposal. Despite the challenging
performance, the 71-year-old Gene Haas expressed confidence that the Haas team
would persevere and become one of the longstanding teams in F1.
