[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors will be without Chris Paul, their experienced point guard, for a considerable period due to a recent injury.
During the Warriors’ victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday, Paul injured his left hand. Post-game, it was revealed that he had fractured his hand and would need surgery.
It was reported that Paul is projected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks.
This injury occurred just as Draymond Green was returning from his suspension. At 38, Paul has undergone 11 hand surgeries throughout his 19-year NBA career, with the upcoming one being his sixth on the left hand.
After being traded from the Washington Wizards to the Warriors in the summer, Paul has played 32 games this season, averaging 8.9 points and 7.2 assists over an average of 27.6 minutes per game, the lowest in his career.
