[Saba Sports News] Following Ime Udoka’s altercation with LeBron James, Darvin Ham, the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, delivered a sharp retort.
The incident occurred during the Houston Rockets’ loss to the Lakers, where Udoka, the Rockets’ head coach, was ejected after a heated exchange with James. This happened in the fourth quarter and resulted in Udoka receiving his second technical foul of the game, leading to his dismissal.
The confrontation gained attention when a clip surfaced showing Udoka criticizing James for complaining to referees, using derogatory language. James confronted Udoka about his language, but Udoka reiterated his point.
ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reported on “NBA Today” about Ham’s strong response to Udoka’s comments. Ham, hailing from Saginaw, Michigan, was quoted as saying, “There ain’t no crying b–ches over here. Saginaw said so.”
This response reflects Ham’s tendency to staunchly defend his players, similar to how he responded to Golden State coach Steve Kerr in the previous year’s playoffs.
Despite Udoka’s implied criticism of James and the Lakers for frequently disputing calls, Ham, now in his second year as head coach, stands firmly in support of his team.
