[Saba
Sports News] According to reports from Saba Sports, after the second leg of the
Champions League 1/8 finals, Porto coach Conceicao accused Arsenal coach Mikel
Arteta of insulting his family. Conceicao claimed that Arteta used an offensive
Spanish phrase that referenced his late mother. Arteta, however, denied the
accusation and stated that he did not insult Conceicao or his family. A source
close to Conceicao reportedly told the media that Arteta used the phrase
“Concha de tu madre.” While the literal translation of this phrase is
“your mother’s shell,” it is generally considered an offensive insult
in Spanish-speaking countries, equivalent to a derogatory phrase involving
female genitals. The report also mentioned that Arteta’s words were allegedly
heard by Conceicao’s coaching staff and Porto substitutes who were present on
the bench.
