[Saba Sports News] Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray has been at the center of recent trade rumors, attracting attention from various teams, including a conference rival. Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report revealed that the Milwaukee Bucks have expressed interest in acquiring the All-Star guard.
Murray’s recent performance, particularly in the Hawks’ 109-108 victory against the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center, likely increased interest in him. Playing without Trae Young, Murray scored 22 points, dished out 11 assists, and hit a crucial game-winning three-pointer with just 2.0 seconds remaining.
Earlier reports indicated that Murray was openly available for trade discussions. He could fit well with Damian Lillard in the Bucks’ backcourt, but Milwaukee faces the challenge of crafting an offer that stands out, given their limited draft resources and young assets.
The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs have also been mentioned as potential destinations for Murray. The 27-year-old guard has intriguingly responded to the idea of rejoining the Spurs and potentially partnering with Victor Wembanyama. This season, Murray has been a strong performer for the Hawks, averaging 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 41 games.
