[Saba Sports News] Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya, recovering from an ankle injury sustained during the ODI World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh in Pune, has been actively updating fans on his rehabilitation progress through social media.
Recently, he shared a video showing his intense efforts to return to peak fitness before the upcoming cricket season. The footage features Pandya bowling in the sun, a positive sign for Team India as they prepare for the T20 World Cup 2024.
In the video, Pandya expresses his deep connection to the training ground, referring to it as his temple. He credits the ground for invaluable lessons learned during his 17-year cricket career.
Pandya remarked, “Good to be back to my place for improvement. I feel very good here. This ground is like a temple to me, teaching me countless valuable lessons. My journey began here 17 years ago. I’m committed to giving my best today and every day.”
As he nears full recovery, Pandya faces significant responsibilities, having been named the full-time captain for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He joined the franchise following a player-trade deal with Gujarat Titans, which included a 15 Crore INR transfer fee and an additional undisclosed amount.
Taking over from Rohit Sharma, who led Mumbai to five IPL titles, Pandya steps into a challenging role with high expectations to emulate Rohit’s leadership success.
