[Saba Sports News] Australia maintained their home turf dominance with a clean sweep in the recent three-match Test series against Pakistan. The team, led by Pat Cummins, secured an eight-wicket victory in the final Test on January 6 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The match drew a significant crowd, eager to see Australian opener David Warner in his last Test appearance.

After the match, the crowd was invited onto the field to hear Warner’s retirement speech. Following the ceremony, fans lingered to get autographs from their favorite players. However, tensions rose when Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali confronted a fan who taunted his fielding abilities. A viral video shows a fan challenging Hasan to learn catching, prompting an angry response from the bowler.
Hasan Ali is remembered for a costly dropped catch of Matthew Wade in the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final, leading to Australia’s victory. His performance in the Test series was also underwhelming, with only two wickets in four innings, averaging 91 and an economy rate of 2.76. Pakistan’s fielding struggles, marked by dropped catches, significantly affected the series outcome.
Aamer Jamal, however, had a standout debut series for Pakistan, becoming the second-highest wicket-taker with 18 wickets in six innings, including three five-wicket hauls. He also contributed with the bat, scoring 143 runs in six innings, highlighted by an 82 in the first innings of the last Test.
Pakistan continues to face challenges in Australia, having lost 17 consecutive matches there since their last Test win in 1995. They have managed only three drawn series in Australia since then.
