[Saba Sports News] Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka was ejected during Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena. The incident occurred with the Lakers leading 93-77 and 8:35 remaining.
A minor scuffle broke out between the teams after Rockets’ Tari Eason was fouled by Lakers’ Cam Reddish, resulting in technical fouls for Reddish and others involved. During this, Rockets’ Fred VanVleet took a technical free throw as Udoka and LeBron James exchanged heated words, leading to technical fouls for both. As this was Udoka’s second technical of the game, he was ejected.
Despite Udoka’s ejection, the Rockets couldn’t rally, ultimately losing 107-97. James had a standout moment with a 360 layup but scored a modest 16 points. The loss furthered the Rockets’ road struggles, dropping their away record to 0-8.
