[Saba Sports News] Star batsman Suryakumar Yadav is back with the Mumbai Indians squad, just in time for their match against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on April 7. After undergoing a sports hernia operation and being sidelined due to an ankle injury, Suryakumar missed several games for both Mumbai Indians and the Indian national team.
Fortunately, his surgery was successful, and he recently got the green light from the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to return to action.
A video shared by Mumbai Indians on X (previously known as Twitter) captured Suryakumar’s arrival at the team hotel, with the caption “Jiska humein tha intezaar,” signaling the team’s anticipation for his return.
So far, the IPL 2024 season has been challenging for Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya. The team has yet to secure a win in their first three matches, leaving them at the bottom of the standings with a net run rate of -1.423. They’ve faced defeats against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Gujarat Titans.
The upcoming game against Delhi Capitals presents a potential turnaround opportunity for Mumbai Indians. The Delhi team, led by Rishabh Pant, has managed only one win in four matches, with their sole victory against Chennai Super Kings in Vizag.
Given the current form of both teams, Mumbai Indians are looking to seize this chance to climb up the points table with a win against Delhi Capitals.
