[Saba Sports News] In Tuesday’s Grizzlies-Spurs game, Ja Morant had his sights set on Victor Wembanyama, eventually besting him in a memorable play. Early in the fourth quarter at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn., Morant capitalized on a moment when Wembanyama, due to a pick and roll, had to guard him.
Morant, a 2-time All-Star, executed a swift right-to-left crossover reminiscent of Allen Iverson, creating just enough space to execute a two-handed dunk, extending the Grizzlies’ lead to 88-70. The dunk was impressive from every angle.
From the game’s outset, it was evident that Morant intended to challenge Wembanyama. The French player initially blocked Morant’s layup in the first quarter, but this only seemed to motivate Morant more as the game progressed.
Morant’s performance was stellar, ending the night with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists, along with a remarkable moment to add to his collection of career highlights.
