[Saba Sports News] Jimmy Butler, known for his humor, made headlines again with his response to a recent NBA suspension. The league announced on Sunday that Butler, among five players, would face suspension without pay due to a brawl in the game between the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans. Butler, identified as a primary instigator, will miss one game, sitting out Miami’s match against the Sacramento Kings.
Following the announcement, Butler took to Instagram to share a series of playful posts. He posted songs with prison themes, such as “Locked Up” by Akon, “Jail” by Kanye West, and “Life” by K-Ci & Jojo, reflecting humorously on his suspension. Additionally, he shared a comical edit of himself and teammate Nikola Jovic, who was also suspended, in a “Bad Boys” movie poster style, jokingly blaming Jovic for the incident and tagging his location as Miami-Dade County Jail.
Despite the suspension, Butler’s absence is relatively minor in the bigger picture, as he’s set to return in the Heat’s next game against the Portland Trail Blazers. His playful reaction to the suspension underscores his reputation for not missing a chance to troll, a trait he’s displayed on numerous occasions, including media days.
