[Saba Sports News] According to
reports from Italian media, Juventus has reached a new high in losses this
season due to the impact of the European competition ban. The financial report
for the first half of the 2023-24 fiscal year, which was just released, shows
that the club’s net loss has increased to 95.1 million euros. The club’s
revenue also decreased by nearly 26% from July to December last year, amounting
to 173.3 million euros. It is expected that the club will continue to incur
losses this season as well. Last year, Juventus was banned from participating
in European competitions for the current season and was fined 20 million euros
due to financial irregularities, which severely affected the club’s revenue.
The last time Juventus made a profit was back in the 2016-2017 season. However,
there is some positive news as Juventus plans to increase capital by 200
million euros to alleviate the financial strain. The capital increase is
expected to start at the end of April this year. Despite the financial
challenges, Juventus has been performing well this season and currently sits in
second place in the league table with 53 points.
