[Saba Sports News] Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson had a blunt response to fans booing the team during a recent home game. Following a significant 141-105 defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, where the Warriors were outscored 46-27 in the first quarter and never led, the home crowd expressed their discontent audibly for the second game in a row.
Thompson, a key player for the Warriors, openly dismissed the negative reaction from the fans. In his postgame press conference, when questioned about the booing, he retorted, “I don’t care. Are we supposed to lose sleep over it?”
In contrast, Steph Curry, the two-time MVP, offered a more measured view. Acknowledging the team’s poor performance, Curry said he’s “booing myself” in his mind, reflecting on the team’s current struggles.
The Warriors have faced a challenging period, losing six of their last eight games. Their once formidable home advantage seems diminished, with a 2-5 record during their recent seven-game home stand. This latest loss has positioned them 12th in the Western Conference with a 17-20 record.
Despite these setbacks, the team anticipates some positive developments ahead. However, their performance this season has yet to resemble that of a contender.
