[Saba Sports News] Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the New York Knicks, provided an update on guard Jalen Brunson’s condition following a concerning leg injury he sustained early in the Knicks’ 107-98 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
Brunson was unable to continue in the game after the incident. Fortunately, the subsequent evaluations, including X-rays and MRIs, have all returned favorable results, showing no serious issues. Thibodeau informed the media that Brunson is on the mend from his contusion and is feeling increasingly better.
Although he was sidelined for the Knicks’ Tuesday game against the Hawks, the upcoming schedule, including a Friday game at home against the Magic, allows Brunson additional time for recovery, possibly setting the stage for his return.
Now in his second season with the Knicks, Brunson has made significant strides, averaging 27.2 points and 6.6 assists per game, contributing to the team’s strong position in the Eastern Conference standings.
