[Saba Sports News] Following a late-game altercation during the Golden State Warriors’ 97-84 victory over the Charlotte Hornets at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., on Friday, Lester Quinones directed disrespectful remarks at Grant Williams.
With 12.2 seconds remaining and the Warriors leading 95-84, Quinones attempted a layup, which Miles Bridges objected to, leading to a blocked shot attempt and resulting in a goaltending call. This incident sparked a skirmish beneath the basket. As Grant Williams attempted to mediate, Quinones confronted him, derogatorily calling him “a b-tch” twice.
The altercation led to technical fouls and the ejection of both Williams and Quinones, with Williams signaling farewell to the Warriors’ bench upon his departure. Post-game, players from both teams convened to discuss the incident.
