[Saba Sports News] Detroit Pistons supporters might have chosen the wrong target for their taunts this past weekend. In a home game against the Mavericks, Pistons fans aimed a chant at Dallas’s Luka Doncic, proclaiming “Luka sucks!”
However, Doncic responded on the court with a stellar performance, securing a 39-10-10 triple-double and guiding the Mavericks to a decisive 142-124 win.
When questioned about the fans’ chant after the game, Doncic coolly dismissed it with a sharp comeback, highlighting the irony of the situation given Detroit’s struggle this season, evidenced by their league-worst 10-53 record and early elimination from playoff contention.
His response indicated both amusement and indifference to the taunts, suggesting he found the chants more motivational than offensive.
“In Detroit? Come on man,” Doncic savagely quipped. “I’m good,” he added. “I don’t know why they would do that. I love it. They know it’s not true and they keep going, so I love it.”
