[Saba Sports News] Following Galatasaray’s 3-2 victory
over Manchester United in the Champions League group stage, there was a notable
presence of visiting fans in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, as well as some in
the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand and the stand located above the scoreboard. In
response to this situation, Manchester United clarified that the club did not
sell tickets directly to any fans with Turkish addresses, and regular tickets
were only sold to club members. Investigations have revealed that some fans
acquired their tickets through online bots and subsequently distributed them
through ticket dealers. In order to prevent similar incidents in the future,
Manchester United will implement measures such as limiting the number of
tickets sold for future cup matches and enhancing the availability of online
ticketing to address the issue of ticket-scalping bots.
