Sports News] According to reports from Spanish media, Mariano Diaz, a forward
for Sevilla, was offered a contract termination by the club. However, Mariano
expressed his desire to overcome his injuries first and asked for another
opportunity under coach Sanchez-Enrique Sanchez Flores. It’s worth noting that
Mariano’s current contract with Sevilla has a relatively low salary compared to
the usual levels for players at the club. After discussing his situation with a
coach who still had some faith in him, or at least a glimmer of it, Mariano
decided to stay at Sevilla and make a final push to recover from his injuries
in order to earn playing time before the end of the season. The outcome will
determine whether he can fulfill his contract with Sevilla, which is currently
set to expire in June 2025. Since joining Sevilla this season, Mariano has only
participated in six league games and three Champions League games, mostly as a
substitute. He has accumulated a total of 297 minutes on the field and has yet
to score any goals.
