Sports News] According to multiple Italian media reports, Giuseppe Marotta has
extended his contract with Inter Milan until 2027. It is reported that
Marotta’s annual salary after the renewal is approximately 1.5 million euros,
making him the highest-paid club executive in Serie A. In the 2022-23 season,
the highest-paid executive in Serie A was Claudio Lotito, the president of
Lazio, with an annual salary of 1.1 million euros.
Furthermore,
over the past eight seasons, Juventus has consistently had the highest total
managerial salary among Serie A clubs, reaching 27.266 million euros, with an
average annual salary of 3.408 million euros. The second and third positions in
terms of total managerial salary over the past eight seasons were occupied by
AC Milan (23.3 million euros) and Napoli (20.7 million euros) respectively.
In
the previous season, Inter Milan’s total managerial salary was only 1.892
million euros. However, with the contract extensions of Marotta, Piero Ausilio,
Dario Baccin, and other top executives, this figure is expected to increase
significantly. Looking back at the success Inter Milan has achieved in recent
seasons, the contributions of these executives have been crucial, making it
reasonable for them to receive salary increases and contract extensions.
