[Saba Sports News] Senior players Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, and Glenn Maxwell are set to return for the three ODIs against India after missing the series in South Africa due to injuries.
Travis Head, who fractured his left hand during the fourth ODI against South Africa, will not be part of the squad and his place in the 15-man World Cup squad is uncertain.
Australia Squad: Pat Cummins (c), Sean Abbott, Alex Carey, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, Adam Zampa.
Marnus Labuschagne, Tanveer Sangha, and Nathan Ellis, who are not part of the World Cup squad, have also been selected for the ODIs in India. Uncapped players Matt Short and Spencer Johnson are included in an extended 18-man squad.
Ashton Agar is on family leave for the birth of his first child, while Tim David and Michael Neser, who were in South Africa for the ODI series, won’t be traveling to India.
