[Saba Sports News] Previously, Roma coach Jose
Mourinho expressed his dissatisfaction with the scheduling of Serie A matches,
citing the impact it had on his team. He called for better coordination between
European and league game times. In response to Mourinho’s complaints, Serie A
CEO Luigi De Cervo issued a statement. De Cervo stated, “We are compelled
to defend Serie A and reiterate that we organise our schedule in a professional
and fair manner. Serie A does not show favouritism towards any team, nor does
it single out anyone. As we are all aware, the majority of a club’s revenue
comes from television rights, and kick-off times are primarily decided to maximise
viewership.” Interestingly, Roma’s match against Inter garnered the
highest viewership among the Week 10 games and the second-highest ratings of
the entire season.
