[Saba Sports News] Even more surprising than the Golden State Warriors not capitalizing on an exceptional performance by Steph Curry last Saturday night was the celebrity recipient of Curry’s game-worn jersey afterward. In a remarkable display against the Atlanta Hawks, Curry unleashed 60 points, including ten three-pointers, just shy of his personal best of 62 points set in 2021 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
This feat positioned him as one of only ten NBA players to have scored 60 or more points in multiple games. Despite Curry’s explosive performance, the Warriors were defeated 141-134 in overtime by the Hawks, dropping their season record to 21-25. Nevertheless, Curry, in high spirits, approached an unlikely celebrity spectator, actress Lindsay Lohan, to present his jersey as a gift, even signing it for her and her husband Bader Shammas.
The interaction, captured in a video, showed Curry engaging with Lohan before the game as well. This unexpected connection, intriguingly, isn’t as far-fetched as it seems. Lohan, originally from the Bronx, is set to star in the upcoming Netflix movie “Irish Wish,” which also features a supporting role by Curry’s wife, Ayesha. Despite the game’s outcome leaving many Warriors fans disheartened, Lohan, familiar with the company of celebrated athletes, undoubtedly treasured the unique souvenir.
