[Saba Sports News] The Phoenix Suns are set to bolster their roster by signing Isaiah Thomas, a former NBA All-Star, to a 10-day contract.
The 35-year-old guard, standing at 5-foot-9, is eyeing an NBA resurgence, having last played in the league in the 2021-2022 season.
Thomas showcased his skills with the Utah Jazz’s G League team, impressing with an average of 32.5 points per game and a 44.6% success rate from the three-point line. Remembered for his All-Star seasons with the Boston Celtics in 2015 and 2016, this signing marks Thomas’s second tenure with the Suns, his first being in the 2014-2015 season before his trade to Boston.
As the Suns currently stand 7th in the Western Conference with a 39-28 record, they are optimistic that Thomas’s addition will provide the necessary uplift to secure a better playoff position and potentially avoid the play-in tournament.
