[Saba Sports News] Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that the Detroit Pistons are reuniting with forward Kevin Knox, signing him to a one-year deal. Knox, once the No. 9 overall pick by the New York Knicks in the 2018 NBA Draft, possesses physical gifts as a 6-foot-7 scoring combo forward but has struggled in the pros, averaging 7.5 points per game on sub-40-percent shooting. Last season, Knox made 42 appearances for the Pistons, his fourth team since being drafted.
While Knox has faced criticism as a draft bust, especially considering players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Mikal Bridges, and Michael Porter Jr. were selected after him, Detroit sees potential in him. He will join their forward rotation, given the injuries to Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Livers, Alec Burks, and Joe Harris.
