Sports News] Prior to the Manchester United home game against Bournemouth, the
officials from Manchester United conducted an interview with Guoni Thorlacius
Johannesson, the President of Iceland, who had attended the match as a fan of
the Red Devils. Johannesson expressed his support for Manchester United and
commented on the strength of the Bournemouth team, mentioning their current
winning streak. He also mentioned Manchester United’s good performance against
Chelsea. He humorously added that his Christmas wish was for Rasmus Hojlund to
score a goal in the league, perhaps in that very game. However, Manchester
United ended up losing the match 0-3 at home against Bournemouth, and
unfortunately, Johannesson’s Christmas wish did not come true as Hojlund failed
to score. It leaves one wondering how the head of state felt following the
game.
