[Saba Sports News] In a recent media interview,
Viggo Mortensen, a prominent American movie star, shared his thoughts on his favorite
club, Real Madrid. Mortensen discussed the current situation at Real Madrid and
expressed his opinion that signing Kylian Mbappe this summer would not be a
wise decision. He provided two reasons for his stance: Firstly, Mortensen
believes that Mbappé’s arrival would be too late, and secondly, he argues that
the team already has core players in that position. According to Mortensen,
signing Mbappe would simply be driven by the ego of club president Florentino
Perez. Mortensen stated, “Real Madrid doesn’t need Mbappe at all; it’s
just because of the ego of club president Florentino. I think Real Madrid has
already acquired the players they need in Bellingham and Rodrigo. It’s not
necessary to sign Mbappe. Besides, Mbappe should have joined Real Madrid two
years ago, and now it’s too late.” The editor’s perspective differs from
Mortensen’s opinion. Mbappe is widely regarded as one of the best players in
football at present, and almost every team would desire to have him. Given Real
Madrid’s financial strength, it is unlikely they would miss the opportunity to
sign him. Furthermore, considering that Mbappe has harbored a childhood dream
of joining Real Madrid, it can be argued that it is indeed necessary for Real
Madrid to pursue his signing.
