[Saba Sports News] Former Formula One world champion Jenson Button has
announced his participation in the World Endurance Championship for the next
season, driving a Jota Porsche 963 racing car. This includes the renowned 24
Hours of Le Mans endurance race. Button, who is currently 43 years old, made
his Formula 1 debut in the 2000 season and competed until September 2016 when

came in 2009 when he won the driver’s championship while racing for the Brawn
GP Team, becoming the 10th British world champion in F1 history. He was also
awarded the 2010 Laureus World Sports Award for Best Newcomer. Throughout his
18-year career, Button participated in a total of 306 F1 races. In an
interview, Button expressed that he is still at the top of his game and has
received his wife’s approval to pursue this new venture. He also praised his
new racing car, highlighting that the Jota Porsche 963 is technologically
advanced and represents the pinnacle of aerodynamic design, surpassing the F1
