[Saba Sports News] As the NBA trade deadline nears, the Los Angeles Lakers, currently at a 24-25 season record, are actively seeking reinforcements. NBA insider Shams Charania, speaking on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” identified Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray as the primary target for the Lakers. Additionally, Charania highlighted three Brooklyn Nets players of interest: Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Royce O’Neale.
Murray, who joined the Hawks in a significant trade from the Spurs in June 2022, has been performing well, averaging 21.5 points per game this season. Despite this, the Hawks are struggling with a 20-27 record and the combination of Murray and Trae Young hasn’t delivered the expected results, leading to rumors about Murray’s potential availability for trade.
For the Lakers, a previous report suggested that a trade for Murray could involve D’Angelo Russell, a 2029 first-round pick, and possibly another player or pick. The specifics of what the Lakers might offer in a deal for the Nets players mentioned remain uncertain.
