[Saba Sports News] D’Angelo Russell’s NBA journey may come full circle as reports from ESPN’s Dave McMenamin indicate the Los Angeles Lakers are discussing a potential trade that could send Russell back to the Brooklyn Nets.
Additionally, the Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks have been part of the trade dialogue. Currently on a two-year, $36 million deal, which Russell agreed to without a no-trade clause, he emerges as a prime trade target.
His initial stint with the Nets, following a 2017 trade from the Lakers, was marked by significant success, including an All-Star selection in 2019. Now, with Russell’s recent performances showcasing an average of 22.2 points and 6.4 assists per game, the Nets, armed with valuable trade assets, appear to be a fitting destination for the guard in a potential reunion.
