[Saba Sports News] British media reports suggest that with the
opening of the upper stands at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool’s next match against
Burnley is anticipated to surpass the attendance record at the stadium. It is
reported that the capacity of Anfield will reach 60,000 people after the upper
stands are opened. Originally, this construction plan was scheduled to be
completed before the start of the current season but faced delays until now.
The upper stands were partially opened during Liverpool’s match against
Manchester United in December, but they will now be fully open. The previous
attendance record at Anfield was set at 58,757 during a game against Chelsea in
December 1949. Since the partial opening of the upper stands, the highest
attendance at Anfield was 57,548. With the full opening of the upper stands, it
is expected that the attendance record at Anfield will be surpassed. This is
undoubtedly exciting news for Liverpool and their passionate fans, the Red
Army.
