Sports News] The Haas team’s disappointing performance in the 2023 F1 season
has led to a significant development. Guenther Steiner, who has been in charge
of the team since their entry into F1 in 2016, has chosen to step down before
the start of the 2024 F1 season. Steiner has previous experience in Formula 1,
having served as the managing director of Jaguar from 2001 to 2003 and as the
director of technical operations at Red Bull from 2005. Haas made an immediate
impact upon joining F1 in 2016, finishing sixth in their debut race. They
secured eighth place in the Constructors’ Championship in their first two
seasons and achieved their best result in 2018, finishing fifth. However, in
recent seasons, their performance has declined, and they have consistently
found themselves at the bottom of the rankings. Currently, the team leader
position is being taken over by the team’s technical director, Norio Komatsu.
